The first half of my weekend was spent clocking some quality time with my KitchenAid mixer. I baked some cupcakes, a cobbler, a pie, and some cookies. My kitchen was a disaster zone.
Can you spot the caffeine fix that helped me last through the marathon?
Anyway, I haven’t shown you many photos of my kitchen, but I thought you might get a kick out of seeing what it looks like in action. It worlds more efficient and fun to cook in than my last kitchen, that’s for sure!
Also, I came across several articles today that struck a cord. They point out that blogs always present the prettiest things and the glamorous angles of peoples’ lives, rarely the mundane. While we often head to blogs to seek inspiration, we often leave feeling like our lives aren’t pretty enough, aren’t glamorous enough, or apartments are filled with the trendiest items, and our closets aren’t stocked with designer threads. Sometimes blogs can leave you feeling inadequate, I know I certainly have felt that way after ogling over some of my favorite bloggers’ homes. I hope you’ll go read these articles because they discuss the point much more eloquently than I can.
